How can we in Orofino enrich the cultural landscape, support artists, and bring the community together through the arts?
1. Identify the Need and Vision
Conduct a Needs Assessment: What is Orofino needing along these lines?
Develop a Vision: What would be some long-term goals? How will it impact the community?
2. Core Group
Who are our local artists and arts orgs? Literary, Performing, Visual
Local leaders or business owners who would benefit or be interested in?
Government officials? Educators/Schools?
3. Legal Formation and Structure
501(c)3
Board of Directors: 6 people derived from the core group
Need to develop a charter & articles of organization
4. Develop a Strategic Plan
Mission and Goals: Bring the community together, drive and expose arts in our community
Programs and Services: Art stroll, maybe festival, schools, gallery nights, grants, workshops?
Funding and Budgeting: Grants, donations, sponsorships, and membership fees.
5. Community Engagement and Marketing
Stakeholder Meetings
Marketing and Public Relations
6. Launch Programs and Events
Pilot Programs & Signature Events based on strategic plan
7. Evaluate and Adjust
Feedback from community, adjustments to programs and strategies as needed.
